Five one-act plays will be written, directed, and performed in a 24 hour period. Because they are written in the middle of the night under deadline, the plays range from the absurd to the opaque. But they are always fun, with evil robots, talking rats and syphilitic aerobics instructors. Many take place in psychiatric wards. The actors and the audience are right on top of each other, which adds to the excitement. 24HT is a production of Black Hills Theater and Dog Story Theater.

Space vs Time is pleased to launch the newest theatre company in Grand Rapids, East Hills Theatre. With Matt Simpson Siegel as managing director, the theater company will produce challenging and rare plays that are unlikely to be seen in West Michigan. It will also seek out original one act plays written by local playwrights.
