Past Shows

February 29, 2008: Is It Over Yet? Music Festival was another great Space vs Time production featuring the talented musicianship of Chance Jones, The End of Times Orchestra, The Mighty Narwhale, A Paschal Circus, Grrrropolis, and Mantra at the Wealthy Theatre.

June 2, 2007: The End Times Orchestra performed at Rocky's Bar and Grill The dynamic and engaging 6-piece band played four hours of original music to awe and inspire Festival of the Arts crowds.

May 12, 2007: 24 Hour Hour Theater #19! A 30-member audience and 20 cast mdembers participated in five original one-act plays written, directed, and produced over a 24 Hour period. This year, all five plays were produced in five apartments and storefronts along the Avenue of the Arts on Division Avenue. Everyone enjoyed watching new actors and seasoned professionals performing unique stories in an authentic bohemian hipster environment.

Sunday, April 1, 2007: The Old and New Avant Garde at Studio 71 South art gallery. Corey Ruffin, local performer, composer, and bandleader (Mr Happypants, Eno Diamond, The End of Times Orchestra) celebrated his birthday by hosting an evening of jazz and dance that included free improvisation of the The End Times Jazz Trio and the "pop operetta" stylings of The End Times Orchestra.

Friday, November 10, 2006: The Grand Rapids I Know: Images of Criticism and Celebrations of our City. A really diverse show mixing photography, illustration, painting, jewelery design, emo bands, hippity-hoppity music, and grunge folk. Participants included: Jaime Ekkens, A Certain Gentleman, Chelcie S Porter, Patrick Milllard, Melissa Duimstra, Tom D, Shannon Harris, Jake Stilson, Biz, The Heavenly Bodies Dancers, Happy Hour, The Movement, Ms. Wyld Chyld and more.

Saturday, October 14, 2006: 24 Hour Theatre took over SVT's 470 Market Street warehouse with three unforgettable plays that were written, directed, and performed in only one day. Sunday, September 10, 2006: More Tales from Joe the Cabdriver: Joe the Cabdriver's second show at SVT was amazing -- he bashed metal cans, ranted about driving cab, priced out hookers. Sarah Jean Adventure Time! introduced her three latest characters, a frat boy, a hooker, and Joe' ex-wife.

Saturday, September 2, 2006: SVT's Freely Improvised Music Series hosted Red Wierenga and the Respect Sextet. All the way from New York City, the band played a hot set of original music and their own jazz compositions. About 20 people saw a great show on a lazy Labor Day weekend.

June 16, 2006: Freely Improvised Music Series: SVT hosts improvised music show with Corey Ruffin: tenor sax, Hugo Claudin: drums, Jason Cunningham: bass, Rob Beckwith: bass and Jordan Adema: violin.

April, 2006: Ashely and Lindsay from Lake perform at Space vs Time. Very chill show with this adorable acoustic duo.
