November 17, 2008: Burlesque was back at the Sazerac Lounge with an all-new Movie Madness cinema show! Headlined by the infamous JustLarry, the show included Velvet Dan finding playing cards in his very special place, the return of Frankenstein's Bride, Bonnie and Clyde striptease, the very first Kung Fu movie, and a visit by Michale Moore. JustLarry - magician, comedian, and juggler extrodinaire -- jugled stacks of blocks, did amazing card tricks, and trimmed some douchebag's pubes with a handful of razor-sharp blades.
October 18, 2008: Over 400 people filled Wealthy Theater for the best Super Happy Funtime show yet! Great costumes, cool makeup, funny skits. The girls were beautiful and sexy as ever. Highlights were Lala Vulvaria as Sarah Palin, shooting moose in a thong. Miss Pussykatt doing a suspension dance by swinging over the stage from a crimson banner. And the girl burying her head in Joe the Cabdriver's cleavage while putting pumpkins on his ass. This is the best show in town.
September 5, 2008: The Cinema Show kicked ass at Bell's Eccentric Cafe. Great crowd of 200, beautiful weather. Audience members taking off their clothes. And Caitlin, everyone's favorite bartender, did her first striptease. Then some dumbasses in a white Chevy Blazer set off fireworks in the parking lot. The Mommy Dearest striptease was insane. We got back to Grand Rapids at 2:30 am and the crazies were out on Division Street. See you for Halloween!
July 19, 2008: Bell's Eccentric Cafe hosted Super Happy Funtime's first Kalamazoo show. It was great! On a rainty day, nearly 200 people packed the bar to watch the actors and musicians perform their best piences. Highlights included Juliet's red outfit, the Sugar plum Fairies packed on the tiny stage, Doug's half-naked hairiness, and the over-eager audience memebr in the Banana Game. Such a softball player! We're already scheduling August and September shows. Stay Funtime!
June 28, 2008: Almost 300 people watch the Best Of Show to celebrate two years of Super Happy Funtime naughtiness in Grand Rapids. The cast brought out almost 30 skits and dances from the past year at the Wealthy Theatre, almost 3 hours of nonstop entertainment. Highlights include the Odball's Awkward Odyssee, the Joe the Hairy Sugar Plum Fairy with 8 dancers, the return of the Skin Flute Orchestra, Velvet Dan rope tricks, the Westside Turle and the EGR Hare, the popular Jesus Confuscious, or Picard Game Show, Like an Almost Virgin, the Salome Belly Dance, Satanic Strip Tease, the Hillbilly Hallal Butcher, Thriller Dance, JoJo Crazy and the Hide the Banana Game Show, a creepy Serial Killer Strip Tease on broken glass, a 2 hoop Hula Hoop Strip Tease, Just Josh's Todler Strip Tease, and the Erin Wilson Satanic Sacrifice Closing Number. May 3, 2008: Over 230 people attended the Kid Show at the Wealthy Theatre. Drawing upon all those horribly produced children's shows and cartoons broadcast on Saturday mornings, the all-new production included: Lala Vulvaria's Oscar the Grouch Striptease, a Double Dutch Striptease by Jo-Jo Crazy, Rainbow Bright Striptease by Vivacious Miss Audacious, a GI Joe boylesque striptease, a Big Bird striptease by Original Cyn, an Infant Stiptease by Joshy, I'm Hot for Teacher striptease by Sarah Jean and Velveeta, and Pee-Wee herman striptease by Oz and His Merry Man. This was our smoothest, yet most disturbing show yet! Stay Funtime!
March 22, 2008: Inspired by the prophesy of Mr. Happy Pants, Super Happy Funtime put its own naughty spin on the mysteries of the Bible at the Wealthy Theatre. The show included the Bible Rules opening number, Don't Eat Pork Strip Tease, The Madonna Strip Tease, Naughty School Girl Grinding, Mikvah Striptease, Tower of Babel, Whore of Babylon and the Pillar of Salt, the Miracles of Jesus, Salome Strip Tease, the Devil Striptease, the Virgin Striptease, and Adam and Eve. This was one of our smoothest shows and the new wireless mics made everything sound great!
February 16, 2008: Super Happy Funtime performs a sold-out show for 300 degenerates at the Inside Out Gallery in Traverse City, MI. Mr. Happy Pants kept calling the city Gaylord. Tee hee. We did many of our old stand bys -- the Squirrel and the Turpentine, the Rabbit and the Hare in the Hood, Rapunzel Strip Tease, the Thriller Dance, Find that Cherry, Fan Dance Striptease, Patti Sex Aids, Almost Full Monty Strip Tease, Velvet Dan magic, Pass the Cucumber, Skin Flute Orchestra, Velveeta Striptease, the Mardi Gras Jazz Funeral opening number, and a video about Gonzo and Meijer. The gallery loved us so much they booked us for two shows in May!
January 19, 2008: The Old Time Radio Show included many Super Happy Funtime actors performing on the Wealthy Theatre stage with sound effects and live simulcast on WYCE. Two shows entertain over 200 people! The show included the song "My Brother Makes the Noises for the Talkies," as well as clever updates of radio standards like cowboy cliff-hangers, attacking robots, maudlin soap operas, weather breaks, news updates, and fast-talking advertisements. The highlight of the show was Zombie President Ford running for president and killing and eating all the other candidates. Wealthy Theater director Erin Wilson and WYCE deejays made cameo appearances.
December 15, 2007: Super Happy Funtime produces another Holiday Burlesque spectacular at the Wealthy Theatre! During a raging blizzard, a sold-out Wealthy Theatre saw a 2-hour show including the popular Ballet of the Sugar Plum Fairy, The "Dildo, Dildo, Dildo" Chanukah Song, The Super Happy Family Christmas Story, and a naughty Santa Claus. After the show, everyone went to the ever popular Meanwhile Bar.
October 27, 2007: Super Happy Funtime performs in WGRD's Fetish Ball at the Whiskey Lounge in the Black Hills section of Grand Rapids. The burlesque dancers get down and dirty on the miniature stage in this edgy night of naughtiness. The pass the cucumber game gets out of hand and Mr. Happy Pants had to break up the couple grinding away during the Kissing Game. Lynae and other sexy WGRD radio personalities add a touch of spiciness. Lala Vulvaria spins fire outside -- Hi Fire Mr. Marshall!
October 20, 2007: Super Happy Funtime returns to the home of vaudeville theater in Grand Rapids -- the Wealthy Theatre! Our Halloween Burlesque show sells out as we bring back all of the cheesy horror films and scary tales that traumatized the adolescent years of our audience. Highlights included the zombie dance, Casper the Overly Friendly Ghost, the falling safe, chew the leg off the burlesque dancer, undead Mr. Happy Pants, and Lala Vulvaria's dance inspired by the Japanese neo-shock movie "The Ring." Great lighting, super sets, awesome costumes! Tell your friends on work release, my pets. Mr. Happy Pants.
September 29, 2007: Super Happy Funtime performs at The Intersection Lounge for the 20th Anniversary Party for Scavenger Hunt. The burlesque crew killed the dazed and confused rock-and-roll crowd with sexy burlesque acts and hilarious game shows. Then when The Last Vegas + Rockit King brought back the best of once-thought stale and limpid hair metal music, our burlesque dancers and freaks ran the Wheel of Misfortune, Throw the Turd in the Horse's Ass, and Crusty Caricatures. August 25, 2007: They said Super Happy Funtime couldn't do The Intersection Lounge. Burt the Art Lord was wrong, my peach. Our Classic TV! show packs over 300 people into the Intersection main stage! The audience enjoys Mr. happy Pants as Mr. Rogers, The Family Feud Game Show between the Munsters and the Addams Family, Lucy and Ethel when they are lonely and drunk, a soft Batman and Robin burlesque, the Blossom theme song dance, I Dream of Genie floating out of her bottle, and a Bewitched suspension act. It's the best show in town!
July 29, 2007: Super Happy Funtime says farewell to the Sazerac Lounge by doing a special "Best of" show. We had 86 fans of naughty pleasure watch Joe the Cabdriver be coerced into Dianetics by Magneto, Skeletor, and Darth Vader; the famous Alien Baby Burlesaque dance; the android burlesque dance; Mr. Pockets did his magic; Mr. Happy Pants had another Mardio Gras funeral; and Santa Claus is just too fat! Lights and sound were spot on thanks to Josh and a new dancer, Miss Holiday, had her big tryout that night. Thanks Brett!
June 16, 2007: Super Happy Funtime Burlesque does its first show at Wealthy Theatre! Our largest ever crowd of 255 patrons were amazed by our take on "Fractured Fairy Tales." The eclectic show included retelling of classic stories such as the Oddysee, The Squirrel andf the Turpentine, The Curse of the Red Shoes, The Rabbit and the Hare, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Little Red Riding Hood, Chef Disgustington eating Jimminy Cricket, and the evil Rumpelstiltskin! Thanks for loving us Grand Rapids!
April 22 and April 29: We had 50 people on April 22 and 90 on April 29 for Super Happy Funtime Burlesque . . . Through the Ages at the Sazerac Lounge! The Cave Woman danced and gave away prizes . . . Dr. Disgustington drank libations from history, Matt and BJ did Vaudevill slapstick . . . Joan of Arc was a sassy saint . . . Mr. Pockets was a Medieval grifter . . . we executed nobility . . . Gerald Ford harassed Joe the Cabdriver . . . and Marie Antoinette struck a pose.
March 25, 2007: Super Happy Funtime performs a Science Fiction themed show! at the Sazerac Lounge. Mr. Happy Pants traveled to the FUTURE! He meets sexy robots, Mad Scientists, a tawdry Princess Leia, and kleptomaniac Klingons! The 140-member sold-out crowd is shocked and amazed by the mysteries of a Mad, Mad, Mad Tomorrow of a Goth Barbarella and Silky Android madness.
February 20, 2007: Super Happy Funtime assaults The B.O.B. in downtown Grand Rapids! Our 3 hour show is crammed into a 90 minute bisquit of burlesque sauciness! LaLa and Miss Audacious take their delicate turns. Rita wows them. Rotundo baffles the middle-class audience. The Escapist eats razor blades. Great show with over 100 people in attendance. Thanks WLAV!
February 18, 2007: Super Happy Funtime celebrated Carnivale! Another sold out show at the Sazerac Lounge with 135 people keeping it funtime! Mr. Happy Pants was raised from the dead. The lovely two-headed zombie fought itself in a bikini. The Escapist tormented reality. Liquids were drunk. Miss Pussycat danced with her serpent and played with fire! Mrs. Happypants twirled her tassles. Rita kvetched with her lezbo daughter. The audience did Can You Tell Your Partner game and the Kissing Game. We learned how Rotundo Profundo became famous in New Orlerans. And LaLa Vulvaria tugged on some throats.
January 21, 2007: Best of Super Happy Funtime brought down the house at the Sazerac Lounge. Over 115 fans saw all of their favorite skits, games shows, acts, and performers from the last year of burlesque shows. Kissing Game! Rita! Rotudo Profundo! Pass the Zucchini! Santa is too Fat for Me! Great show, you guys!
December 17, 2006: We sold out the Sazerac Lounge with over 150 people having a Super Happy Naughty Christmas! Santa vsitis and he was naughty. Siestra visits from Detroit with her sinister chihuahua. The Escapist performed acts of magicaless. The Vivacious Miss Audacious performed strip hula-hooping. The Alcohol Fairy spread happiness. The Super Happy Funtime Nativity was celebrated with the annual savior toss. Miss Pussycat did a Hannukah Bush piercing. We asked "What's in the Xmas Box?" Rita did her Christmas Special. And, the Burlesque Babies did their Holiday Baking show. It was the "Best show in town!"
November 4 and 5, 2006: We do two shows in one weekend! It was non-stop funtime at the chic Sazerac Lounge on Plainfield Ave. We had Rita's talk show, paranoid politicians, Rotundo Profundo tormented by Existantialism and Fritos, and hula-hooping hotties. Saturday night, 70 people showed up for a 11 pm show that featured tons of skits; 55 watched the regular Sunday 9 pm show, which was as sharp as the Maiden Bride's hip bone. Hi Vice Squad!
Sunday, October 8, 2006 - Another great show! Tightest show yet and we packed the Sazerac Lounge again. We had to bring in extra seating! The girls from Dangerous Curves Burlesque from detroit were blown away and left everyone and said "fuck yeah we'll be back!" Joe the Cabdriver's taxi-driving skit was hilarious. Rachel got to be the ballerina she dreamed of in her girlhood. What could be better?

August 15, 2006: Super Happy Funtime performs their first show for Rich Haralson and his 300 closest friends at 567 Prospect. Sarah Jean, Joe, BJ, and Jan perform even though they suffered extreme sunburn while tubing on a local river.
Booking shows? Patrons love the fast-paced and entertaining Super Happy Funtime. They come back every week and they consume more food and beverages than listending to a band.
